Part of the installation diptych Zones Silence, Zone Silence #1 is a video installation resulting from a performance. During one week I made a sand mandala in situ, on the table in the center of the piece. As tradition dictates, as soon as it was completed, the mandala was destroyed and collected in a glass urn. The performance was filmed all along, from various angles. The three videos show different moments of the creation, its birth, the middle, and its destruction.
